Telugu Cinema News: The megastar Chiranjeevi’s movie Godfather grossed $1 million in its first weekend and the movie reached this mark on Sunday. But for Chiranjeevi reaching the $1 million mark at the USA box office is not a big deal or not a very good achievement. However, the movie is a remake of a most-watched and most-liked Malayalam hit named Lucifer. 

Godfather is the only movie that grossed this much amount last weekend. Apart from this Godfather, Nagarjuna’s starrer The ghost and also a small movie Swathimuthyam were also released at the same time.

However, Nagarjuna’s The Ghost was an outright flop. The movie just collected the last $110k in the extended weekend. Nagarjuna is one of the few Telugu stars who have a huge business in the USA. He has multiple films that have grossed more than $1.5 million but this time his luck might not be with him, the Ghost just collect $110k. Additionally, Swathimuthyam also grossed just about $48k.
